                                                 No self respecting airline of the late 1920s and early '30s would be caught without a fleet of
                                                 Ford Tri-Motors, and American Airways found itself in possession of several of them shortly after
                                                 its founding by the merger of many smaller lines.   NC9663 came from Colonial Air Transport but
                                                 is seen here in full American Airways livery.  The image below, provided by Javier Delucca, shows
                                                 a typical Ford airliner interioir.
