Alaska
Airlines DHC-6-300 Twin Otter
N100AS
(c/n 244)
I've often wondered why Alaska Airlines didn't operate
more Twin Otters. They only had
two; this one
and N200AS. Possibly by that time (1969) they had gotten out of
the "bush"
service mode
and their stage lengths were such that the ubiquitous Twin Otter didn't
fit.
Both survived until
1976 when they were sold to Surinam Airways, N100AS becoming
