Air
Wisconsin de Havilland Canada DHC-8-311
N432AW
(c/n 286)
Air Wisconsin operated both Dash-100 and Dash-300
varieties of this, the "improved" version of
the
DHC-7. By that time the company was part of the
United Express organization and, as such,
all the Dash-8s were
painted in United Express markings. An early rendition of their
livery is seen
in the nice image
above by Howard Chaloner of a -300 series at Dulles International (IAD)
in July
1993. Shortly
after this shot was taken United was to sell off Air Wisconsin, wherein
it changed
its corporate name
to Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation (AWAC) and then flew as a feeder
for
AirTran Airways
until 2004. In 2005 it became part of the US Airways
Express network.
