All American Airlines Douglas DC-3 Line-up

                                       

                                              Interesting line-up of All American Airlines DC-3s with one having just taken off.  Eleven ex
                                              C-47As were originally acquired by the company to provide service from Washington D.C. to
                                              Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Newark.  With the name change to Allegheny Airlines in 1953,
                                              the base of operations moved to Pittsburgh.    This photograph was probably taken at Washington
                                              National Airport, circa 1949.
