All American Airlines Douglas DC-3 Line-up
Interesting line-up of All American Airlines DC-3s with one having just
taken off. Eleven ex
C-47As were
originally acquired by the company to provide service from Washington
D.C. to
Pittsburgh,
Philadelphia and Newark. With the name change to Allegheny
Airlines in 1953,
the base of
operations moved to Pittsburgh. This photograph was
probably taken at Washington
National Airport,
circa 1949.
