ZK-AZF Auster 5C

Tied down at the end of the
paddock. This Auster was built for the RAF in
1944 as
TJ187 and was civilianized in 1948 as
G-ALKI. At the end of 1950 it was imported
into New Zealand for a Mr. McNutti
of Waipukurau. In 1976 it underwent a restoration
and is now on display at the
Ashburton Aviation Museum, looking, I might add, in much
better shape than it did in the shot
above which was taken in 1953.
