ZK-AXZ de
Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth (c/n 3980)
Here's -AXZ squashed between other Tigers at an air show at Hastings in
the early 1950s.
This was an
early pre-war Hatfield built machine which served in the RAF as N6707
and was
civilianized as
G-AMDP in 1950. It probably only wore a roughly painted UK rego
over its
RAF uniform
before being reworked and shipped out to the Manawuta Districts Aero
Club
early in 1951
as ZK-AXZ. This aircraft was written of in an accident nearr
Dannevirke on
7 Nov
1955.
