ZK-AXZ  de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth        (c/n  3980)

                                          

                                                Here's -AXZ squashed between other Tigers at an air show at Hastings in the early 1950s.
                                                This was an early pre-war Hatfield built machine which served in the RAF as N6707 and was
                                                civilianized as G-AMDP in 1950.  It probably only wore a roughly painted UK rego over its
                                                RAF uniform before being reworked and shipped out to the Manawuta Districts Aero Club
                                                early in 1951 as ZK-AXZ.   This aircraft was written of in an accident nearr Dannevirke on
                                                7 Nov 1955.
