ZK-ARO  de havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth            (c/n  DHNZ66)

                                             

                                                     Built at Rongotai. in 1941. RNZAF serial was NZ816.  Sold to W. Harding of Taieri in 1948.
                                                     The aircraft was converted to a topdresser with Wanganui Aerial Work in April 1950, in whose
                                                     service it is seen here.  ZK-ARO crashed at Hurleyville, 14 km east of Hawera on 8 Feb 1952,
                                                     killing pilot Doug Holloway.
