ZK-AQL  Auster J/5 Autocrat           (c/n  2245)

                                       

                                                 These two shots (above and below) show ZK-AQJ whilst operated by the Wellington Aero
                                                 Club in 1950.     It had been imported for Boone & Co in 1947, and was sold to the Dannevirke
                                                 Aero Club in 1949.  It then went to the Wellington Aero Club, circa 1950.   ZK-AQL was
                                                 written off in a crash south of the Rimutakia Ranges on 28 Oct 1951.   Some parts were
                                                 recovered for use as spares.
