ZK-AQB  de Havilland D.H.83C Fox Moth            (c/n  FM.49)

                                          

                                              Two views of this Canadian built (post WW II)  Fox Moth.  The upper one in 1949 and lower
                                              in the early 1950s when it was either in vogue (or possibly mandatory) that the rego be moved
                                              to the tail.    The oil slicked foreground in the former shot somewhat detracts from the contrast.
                                              Note Ercoupe ZK-AQX under the nose of the Fox Moth.  Both were owned and operated by
                                              the Aucklamd Aero Club.   ZK-AQB is currently with the Croydon Aircraft Company at
                                              Mandeville under restoration to airworthiness.  It is, in fact, just about completed, requiring
                                              minor detail work only.   Contemporary photo, someone?
