ZK-AOP  Lockheed 18-56 Lodestar         (c/n 2508)

                                          

                                                 This shot was taken under the wing of another Lodestar at Wellington in 1949. ZK-AOP was
                                                 built as a Lockheed C-60A-5-LO with the serial 42-56035.  It then went to the RAAF becoming
                                                 A67-1, the first Lodestar for that service, where it was allocated the call sign VHRAA.   It was
                                                 sold to NZNAC in 1947 (for nineteen hundred quid!) and named "Koropio"    Like most of
                                                 NZNAC's Lodestars it was repatriated back to the US in 1952 as N4646V.  A complete history
