ZK-BLY   de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth         (c/n  83207)

                                          

                                                 Another nondescipt Tiger, this shot by Jim Dyson (via David Molesworth).    This was ex
                                                 RNZAF NZ780  Fuselage built at Cowley and shipped to New Zealand.   Remainder of
                                                 the aircraft was constructed at Rongotai from local materials.  After WW II it was alloted
                                                 (free) to Auckland Aero Club at Taieri.  In the event it remained in storage at Mangere and
                                                 not registered until early 1956.  At that time it passed Aero Farms Syndicate.  ZK-BLY
                                                 was written off in an accident at Paparoa on13 April 1958 when it swung on takeoff while
                                                 topdressing and collided with some 55 gal drums.
