ZK-BLN  de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth         (c/n  DHNZ110)

                                        

                                              Here's a rarity.  A Tiger with spats.  This aircraft had actually been on loan to the Wellington
                                              Aero Club in 1950-51 whilst still officially on the strength of the in RNZAF as NZ1430.  It was
                                              then in storage until 1956 when it was purchased by M. Tulloch of Mataura.  When the C of A
                                              expired in 1959 it was sold back to Bush Aviation and used for spares until that Company was
                                              sold to Hewett Aviation. It was rebuilt in 1962 as ZK-CCH and sold to J. Crombie of Gore.
                                              The rebuild utilized parts from ZK-BLM (NZ1430), ZK-AOO (NZ1478), and ZK-BFL.
                                              ZK-CCH is currently airworthy (carrying the c/n DHNZ110) with Biplane Adventures in
                                              Wanaka, as their contemporary image below illustrates.
