ZK-BDW
Auster J/5A Cropduster
(c/n 3000)
A small number of
Aiglets were built specifically as agricultural aircraft and designated
the
J/5A. ZK-BDW began life as
G-AMPX and was one such. It was imported into New
Zealand early in 1954. It
is seen here in a nice shot by Jim Dyson (courtesy of the David
Molesworth collection) in the
mid-1950s. This machine is still currently registered and
still
flies out of New
Plymouth.
