ZK-BDW  Auster J/5A Cropduster              (c/n  3000)

                                    

                                           A small number of Aiglets were built specifically as agricultural aircraft and designated the
                                           J/5A.  ZK-BDW began life as G-AMPX and was one such.  It was imported into New
                                           Zealand early in 1954.   It is seen here in a nice shot by Jim Dyson (courtesy of the David
                                           Molesworth collection) in the mid-1950s.  This machine is still currently registered and still
                                           flies out of New Plymouth.
