ZK-BCZ  de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth         (c/n   DHNZ155)

This was the last of the airworthy Royal new Zealand Air Force Tigers (NZ1475) to be
released for civilian use.  It was alloted, free of charge, to the New Zealand Civil Aviation
Administration on 21 July 1953.  However, it appears that the aircraft remained on the
strength of the RNZAF until 23 October 1956.  In 1957 it was registered to J. Anson and
others.   By 1963 in was in service with the Wanganui Gliding Club.  ZK-BCZ crashed on
landing at Wanganui Airport on 04 January 1964 and was extensively damaged.  It was
rebuilt during the late 1960s and registered to I. Dittmer of Featherston.  It is still currently
                                                 airworthy.
