ZK-BCH  de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth       (c/n    85547)

Evocative, if somewhat grainy shot of an agricultural Tiger hard at work in its true
environment.   This aircraft was ex-RAF DE580, alloted civil registration G-AMVO
and exported to New Zealand in Jan 1953 as a topdresser.  It was written off in an
accident at Pukekawa in 1957.   Four or five years would have been the average life
for a Tiger topdresser.  They would either have crashed by that time or been replaced by
                                                    Fletchers or Cessna 180s.
