ZK-BBV   de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth             (c/n  DHA500)

                                       

                                               Australian-built.  Served with RNZAF as NZ1414.  Issued free to Waikato Aero Club, and
                                               stored by them between 1949 and 1952.  My shot shows it in late 1952. . Badly damaged
                                               when it crashed in the Parakeka Valley in 1962.  It was rebuilt but then crashed into a hillside
                                               at Ohaupo on 01 March 1964 while on a flight from Te Kuiti to Rukuhia.  Pilot and passenger
                                               were unhurt but the aircraft was damaged beyond repair.   Bits and pieces may survive.
