ZK-BAD  de havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth          (c/n  84648)

                                    

                                           ZK-BAD among a plethora of other Tigers at Wairoa in 1953.  It was operated at the
                                           time by Air Super Ltd.   This Tiger was imported from the U.K. and was previously
                                           assigned the registration G-AMNF although it is doubtful it was ever civilianized fully
                                           in the U.K., being shipped out to New Zealand soon after it became available in late
                                           1951.   Oddly, this machine has been preserved and is now on static display in the
                                           Museum of Transport & Technology in Auckland, where it is masquerading as an
                                           ex RNZAF aircraft (which it was not).
