ZK-AJC  de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth                      (c/n  83463)

                                 

                                       This shot was taken at an air show in Nelson in 1957.   Note Dragon ZK-AXI.   The other
                                       Tiger is recently-demobbed ZK-BLG (ex NZ1461).  ZK-AJC was operated by the Otago
                                       Aero Club when civilianized in 1946, although the above image shows it as a topdresser with
                                       Southland Aerial Fertilising Company/Hewett Aviation.  By that time it had been converted to
                                       a single-seater.  It went to Southern Aviation Ltd, of Gore in early 1962. Withdrawn from use
                                       at Mossburn later that year.  Reported to be stored at Invercargill during the 1970s. Now
                                       believed to be in store at Mandeville.
