ZK-AID  de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth    (c/n  DHNZ81)

                                 

                                        ZK-AID was a New Zealand Tiger built at Rongotai in 1941. It served at both 3 EFTS
                                        at Harewood and 2 EFTS Ashburton.  It was issued free of charge to the Hawkes Bay
                                        and East Coast Aero Club in 1946 in whose service it is seen above. It crashed at
                                        Pakowhai, near Hastings on 22 January1949 and was cancelled from the register.
                                        Its remains were purchased by Robertson Air Services Ltd of Hamilton and it was
                                        rebuilt as topdresser. Re-entered the register as ZK-AVD in 1950.   Subsequently
                                        'reduced to produce' in 1958.
