ZK-AGQ  Rearwin 9000-L                                     (c/n  613-D)

                              

                                    Imported in 1938 for the New Plymouth Aero Club, this Rearwin was impressed into RNZAF
                                    service as NZ599.   It returned to its pre-war owner in 1946 as ZK-ALF.  It is still on the current
                                    register and Ivan Prince (of www.adf-serials/nz-serials/.com) offers the following updated chronology:

                                            “Ferried from Tauranga to Pongakawa on 15 March 1978 for restoration. By mid 2005 the
                                             restoration was almost complete and the aircraft should fly again shortly.”
