ZK-AFE  Lockheed 10A Electra                     (c/n  1103)

                                    

                                           A less than spectacular image of the last of the original three Electras delivered to Union
                                           Airways in 1937.  ZK-AFE was named 'Kereru'.  It crashed on Mt. Richmond in 1942
                                           whilst serving a New Zealand National Airways flight from Wellington to Nelson.  All
                                           five on board were killed.
