ZK-ADS  de Havilland D.H.84 Dragon II              (c/n    6091)

ZK-ADS was the second of two Dragons operated by East Coast Airways Ltd of Gisborne
when this (uncontrasty) shot was taken.  It became part of Union Airways in 1938. Both Dragons
were impressed into service with the RNZAF, this one becoming NZ550.  It was sent for service
in Fiji.  Here, the heat and high humidity played havoc with its stretched fabric covering and it was
struck off charge in July 1943.
