VH-UYW de Havilland D.H.86B Express
Last of the new D.H.86Bs
delivered to W.R. Carpenter and Co. Ltd in 1938 was VH-UYW
above in this shot by Gus Grulke (via John Wilson). Its name, 'RMA Carinthia' is titled
nose, whilst over the cabin door it reads "WRC Airlines". The
photo below is from the
-UYW was lost when it ditched into the sea off Kavieng, New Ire-
land on 15 March 1940.
It was later replaced by a "previously
owned" machine, VH-UZX
