VH-UYO  de Havilland D.H.87B Hornet Moth  (c/n  8111)

                             

 
                                   VH-UYO (named "Christopher Robin") was a common sight around Moorabbin in the mid
                                   1950s.  Note "square" wings on the "B" Model Hornet Moth.    It bravely participated in the
                                   R.M. Ansett air race, and Geoff Goodall photographed it at Parafield, Adelaide (below) right
                                   after the race in March 1964.    Sadly it was written off three months later (on 22 June 1964)
                                   in a crash at Cardigan, Victoria,
