VH-UQR  de Havilland D.H.83 Fox Moth               (c/n  4017)

                                   

                                          The above photo, via Geoff Goodall is a copy of the original CofA photo.  The rough shot below
                                          is via the Civil Aviation Historical Society, and came from a very small print in the Len Dobbin
                                          collection, whilst the image at the foot of the page is from the Wally Civitco collection.  This Fox
                                          Moth was ex G-ABYR and had been imported in March 1933 for Guinea Airways of Lae, NG.
                                          Alkl threee photo were taken at Wau, circa 1933.  -UQR was badly damaged when it overturned
                                          on landing on 14 September 1937.       Whether it was repaired or not is not known, but, in the
                                          event, it was destroyed on the ground by Japanese action on 21 January 1942.
