VH-UPM  de Havilland D.H.80A Puss Moth         (c/n  2052)

Unfortunately the image above from the Coffs Harbour Regional Museum collection is not
sufficiently sharp to discern the titling on the tail.   The caption merely states that the "nurse
is standing next to the aeroplane 'Miss Lismore' at Coffs Harbour Aerodrome"..   In fact
this aircraft had been delivered to New England Airways Ltd of Lismore in November 1930.
VH-UPM crashed near Byron Bay, NSW on 23 September 1932 with the catastrophic results
seen below in the photo contributed by Greg Weir from the Ron and Rae Boon collection.
It is one of a series depicting the remains of this Puss Moth.
