VH-WHS   Auster J/5F Aiglet Trainer               (c/n  2736)

                                 

                                        This was the former VH-BYG, manufactured at Rearsby in 1952, but not entered onto the
                                        Australian civil register until June of 1954.  Any viewer have a shot of it as -BYG?  It was
                                        withdrawn from use in 1972 and, following a lengthy restoration, restored to the register as
                                        VH-WHS in 1997.  Ian McDonell took the above shot at Caloundra, Queensland in 2007.
