Oddly, photographs of this classic 170A are
not that common. John Wheatley captured it (above)
1970 whilst Greg Banfield saw it at Bankstown in January 1969
(below). This was a decade
was first registered on 11 February 1959 to C..A. Holmes of
Inverell, NSW, ex N1285D.
It had a
series of owners, mainly in the
NSW wheatbelt (which is probably why few images of it exist).
. It crashed at
Gunnedah, NSW in August 1976 and remained
inoperative then for some sixteen years
was restored to the
register (in October 1992).
