VH-SMC (1) DHC-2 Beaver                              (c/n 140)

                               

                                      These two Ben Dannecker collection photo were taken around 1961. Above at Bankstown and
                                      below, doing a parachute supply drop over the Snowies.     The Beaver had come into Australia
                                      from Malaysia where it had been 9M-ALT (and VR-RBT for the Government of Malaya before
                                      that).  It was later sold off by the SMA to Aerial Agriculture Pty Ltd at Bankstown and became
                                      VH-AAL, (later VH-AAD.)
