                                      Photograph taken on the day the aircraft was ferried in from the RAAF MU, on 21st or
                                      22nd of August, 1957.    Barrie Colledge advises that it was not actually registered VH-RVI
                                      until August 1958.  Presumably pressure of other work stalled its entry into the fleet. (Maybe
                                      a poor choice of words, there!).   Below is a nice image by Bob Neate (via Geoff Goodall)
                                      taken in 1964.   The red fin forward of the stripes was not a RVIC standard (at least during
                                      "my day").  A contemporary shot of it (looking almost the same) can be found at:

                                      Despie a crash in Ballarat in 1973 (restored in '76) this Tiger is still currently registered
                                      (2017).   Oddly, CASA describes it c/n as DX750 which was to have been its original RAF
                                      serial.
