VH-PPJ  Piper PA-24-260 Comanche B                            (c/n  24-4606)

                              

                                 First registered in May of 1967, this Comanche was participating in the 1976 Benson & Hedges
                                 Australian Air Race when Danny Tanner took the above shot at Parafield in October of that year.         
                                 VH-PEX was ostenibly re-registered in the US in 2001 as N260B but the FAA states that this
                                 tregistration is 'Pending', so whetther the deal ever took place I am not certain.
