VH-PLE  Cessna P206 Super Skylane                               (c/n  0146)

                                                                    
           
                                         Cessna dubbed the P206 the Super Skylane and the  “P” stood for “people”.  It was intro-
                                         duced in 1965 (when -PLE was registered) and was basically a U206 (the Utility version)
                                         with two main doors and a port side rear door, but no cargo door.   In the shot above, from
                                         Geoff Goodall's collection, it was eight years old when seen at Jandakot in February 1973
                                         and operated by Aerial Photographs and Surveys Pty Ltd of Perth.     It is still current and
                                         Ian McDonell took the photo below at Toowoomba in May 2009 when it was being used as
                                         a skydiving platform.
