VH-RVD (2)                                                                  c/n  1066

                                           RAAF serial  A17-735

This beautiful, evocative shot is from Barrie Colledge who took it whilst on a trip to Mount
Gambier in January 1958.   Three members went up there and flew it (in turn) over the Blue
Lake.   In 1958 the club had begun painting individual aircraft letters on the cowling.  Note
that the first VH-RVD doesn't have this nicety.   After being sold by the Aero Club this
second VH-RVD became VH-KNM and was ultimately written off in a crash at Tumut
                                           in 1960.
