VH-KBK   Auster J/1B Aiglet                        (c/n  2685)

                              

                                  This Aiglet was almost always on the flight line at Western Junction Airport, Launceston, when
                                  I lived there in the early 1950s, but it was privately owned (by a Mr. E. Mills) and was not a club
                                  aircraft.   This shot was taken in 1953.  It was cream with red trim.  VH-KBK is still on the
                                  current VH- register and a nice shot of it from the Ian W. O'Neill collection appears below.  In
                                  its all-red finish it appears to camouflaged behind a red tent!
