VH-IXP (2)  Cessna U206C Super Skywagon                       (c/n U206-0983)

This aircraft was an upgrade from the Cessna 180H Skywagon operated by the Catholic Mission at
Vanimo, New Guinea.  It was originally to have been VH-DST but was re-registered into the mission's
-IX series instead.          It is seen above at Bankstown in 1968 in this photo from the Geoff Goodall
collection.  The Super Skywagon was named 'St. Joseph'.  It was badly damaged in a crash at Yenmu,
PNG in March of 1974.      When finally restored eight years later it was entered into the Papua-New
                                   Guinea register as P2-SER.
