VH-IHS    Dornier  Do 27Q-4                              (c/n 2075)

                                  

                                      Two shots of this Dornier in New Guinea from the Geoff Goodall collection.  Above it is seen
                                      with the original  factory livery, whilst the Al Bovelt shot below at Wewak in April 1967 shows
                                      it with a much revised paint scheme.   The aircraft was operated by the Catholic Mission of the
                                      Holy Ghost, (hence appropriate registration) and in fact, spent all of its career in missionary work
                                      until it was written off on 26 July 1968 when it suffered a violent ground loop on landing at Kunjiingini,
                                      New Guinea.
