VH-IAX  Piper PA--28-140 Cherokee                            (c/n  28-21591)

                               

                                    Part of Illawarra Flying School’s 1966 purchase of a fleet of Cherokees, VH-IAX was registered
                                    in June that year   . David Carter’s picture was taken in December 1969 at Bankstown . By 1976
                                    –IAX had been sold off and was based at Moorabbin .    Today (October 2016) it is current with
                                    an owner from South Gippsland.      Photos from as recent as 2010 show it in the same red colour
                                    scheme as in 1969.
