VH-GVI de
Havilland D.H.114 heron (c/n 14012)

The
second of Southern's Herons was formerly New Zealand National Airways'
ZK-BBN, an
early model delivered in
1953. Southern acquired it in 1958. It was sold to
Fiji Airways as
VQ-FAX. After
being damaged beyond repair at Suva Airport in 1966, the carcass was
used
for fire fighting practice.
