VH-GLH  de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth                  (c/n DHA220)

                                     

                                         This was the other Tiger owned in the late 1950s by G.L. Gangell.  Formerly A17-219, it
                                         had flown under the identities of VH-BOC, VH-RVB and VH-ASD before becoming -GLH
                                         in March 1958.   It crashed on 19 February 1961 at Kempton, Tasmania, while being operated
                                         by Southern Aerial Super Service Pty Ltd.      The above image is courtesy of the Civil Aviation
                                         Historical Society archives.  The accident report stated:-                                       
                                         "A pilot, inexperienced in agricultural operations, allowed the aircraft to stall while attempting to
                                          turn away from rising terrain, and it struck the ground before recovery could be affected."
