600 S-2D Snow Commander
This Thrush Commander was formerly N1748S and came onto the Australian
register in September
1966. Geoff Goodall took this
shot at Parafield Airport just after it had been
registered It labored
on then for some 14 years before being written
off in a crash (May 1980) while spraying 5 miles west
of Boggabilla, NSW.
Reports indicate it suffered engine starvation (out of fuel?) while
entering a steep
turn at the end of a spray
run, stalled, then flat spun into the ground from low level.
