VH-FDP (3)  Beech 95-A55 Baron                                 (c/n  TC-466)

The second VH-FDP was destined originally to be a Champion 7FC Tri-Traveler.  Odd, since clearly
it would never be one of the RFDS's ambulances!    Recognizing this anomaly, that aircraft was re-regi-
stered VH-FBP.   Hence this Baron was designated the third iteration of this rego.    It was registererd
new in July 1963 for the RFDS's WA Section and named "Len Taplin" after a 1920s West Australian
pilot and engineer.       Geoff Goodall's photo above was taken at Jandakot in Novmber 1969.    Sold
off in the early 1970s, it went to a private owner and Geoff photographed it again (below) at Bunbury,
WA in May 1975.    VH-FDP was later written off at  nearby Busselton on 1 May 1985.
