VH-EDH  Piper PA-23-160 Apache                  (c/n 23-1929)

                                 

                                     The Retailers' Warana Air Race was an annual event run between 1968 and 1973 throughout
                                     Queensland.   It went from Brisbane's Archerfield Airport to Mackay, via many country towns
                                     in between.  I suspect that John Wheatley's color shot of this Apache was probably taken at
                                     Mackay, circa 1970.  VH-EDH was a new machine when first registered in February 1961.
