                                     Here's a rare picture from the CAHS archives of a Qantas Catalina in New Guinea circa 1949.
                                     Civilianized in May 1947 as VH-ALN for Qantas, it was re-registered -EBC in April 1949 . It
                                     was originally a RAF Catalina, serial number JX661, and seconded to the RAAF as A24-354.
                                     VH-EBC was withdrawn from use in May 1959.
