Cessna agent Rex Aviation registered VH-DTE in August 1968.    This event may have preceded
                                       by many months the aircraft actually taking to the skies, for it was looking pristine when David Carter
                                       photographed it at Bankstown in late 1969    . By 1976 it was owned by popular Archerfield flying
                                       instructor Gil Layt, whose flying school lives on well into the 21st century.   So does –DTE, which
                                       was acquired by a Mt Gambier pilot in 2014 and still registered in September 2016.
