VH-DGB (1)     Druine D.31 Turbulent                            (c/n  PFA/446)

                                  

                                       This Turbulent was built by Mr. D.G. Blinham of Sydney (hence the rego) and first registered to him
                                       on 5 October 1960.  The above shot, from the Geoff Goodall collection was taken at Camden, NSW
                                       in 1961. It's c/n was derived from its British Popular Flying Association plan number. This, the first
                                       VH-DGB had a short life in that it crashed at Ashbridge, NSW on 18 November 1962 when it stuck
                                       a power line while low flying and dived into the ground.   Luckily, the pilot suffered only minor injuries.
