VH-CBL  Cessna 172F Skyhawk                        (c/n  53310)

                            

                                   VH-CBL was Cheynes Beach Whaling Co's third Cessna 172 floatplane, and entered service in
                                   February 1966  It was formerly Rex Aviation's VH-PQX.  Actually it was to have become the
                                   second VH-CBH, since the first aircraft bearing this rego (also a 172 seaplane) had been sold
                                   off, but, in the event, was registered as -CBL.   The above photo by Merv Prime (via the Geoff
                                   Goodall collection) was taken on the Canning River, Perth in May 1967 after it had been traded
                                   in to WA Cessna agents Simpson Aviation at  Jandakot on a Cessna 337 VH-CBW.
