VH-CAH  (1)  de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth            (c/n  DHA800)

                                     

                                           This photo of a DCA Tiger, from the Daryl Mackenzie collection, was taken in PNG in 1961/62.
                                           The aircraft is facing out towards the Solomon Sea, and the shipwreck is the Tanyo Maru which
                                           was sunk just off the end of the original Lae airstrip during WW II.    VH-CAH was the former
                                           VH-AZM which was first registered in December 1947 (ex A17-650) before going to the Dept.
                                           of Civil Aviation in October 1949 for use in Papua/New Guinea..   It was written off following
                                           a crash at Lae on 25 September 1962.      The photo below, from the Macarthur Job collection,
