VH-EBW  Boeing 707-338C                              (c/n  19296)

Two shots of -EBW by Greg Banfield in almost identical attitudes both at Mascot, four years apart.
Above it was departing the airport on 13 May 1973, and below, in the old V-Jet livery on 7 March
1970.     This 707 was delivered in October 1967.       It was sold to British Caledonian Airways in
May 1975 as G-BDEA.     After seven years service with that carrier it was withdrawn from use at
Gatwick in October 1982.      It had several leases after that and was cancelled from the UK register
in August 1992 when it was entered onto the Liberian Aircraft Register (of convenience) as EL-AKH.
Sold to Grumman Aerospace in February 1994 for J-STARS conversion, it became a E-8C for the
USAF in 1998, a role it still enjoys.
