VH-BZH   Convair 440-61  Metropolitan                (c/n 458)


                               VH-BZH was a new aircraft delivered in 1957.   This shot at Essendon is by Richard Maclean. The
                               Convair 440 Metropolitan was a refined Model 340 which incorporated certain aerodynamic and
                               comfort improvements, plus high-density seating for 52 passengers.  After a period of lease to Butler
                               Air Transport it went to ATA (Ansett Transport Industries) subsidiary Airlines of South Australia in 1960.
