VH-BUM  de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth            (c/n  DHA417)

                               

                                      Here's VH-BUM at Tamworth in 1950s, painted in Airfarm Associates' vivid red and yellow fleet
                                      colour scheme.  Many of their agricultural Tigers flew with the rear fuselage fabric removed for ease
                                      of maintenance.   This must surely have had some effect on stability?   This Tiger was ex A17-376.
                                      It was withdrawn from use in September 1966.  The image below is from the John Patterson coll-
                                      ection.  John was a director of Airfarm from 1983 to 2003.  Interesting shot showing an Arguis and
                                      Proctor in the background.
